Uniforms

Uniforms

Milton Keynes Primary PRU has high aspirations and standards for children and it is our school policy that all children wear school uniform when attending school or when participating in a school organised event outside normal school hours. Milton Keynes Primary PRU Management Board and staff firmly believe that school uniform plays a valuable role in contributing to the ethos of our school and sets a positive tone for behaviour and learning.

Milton Keynes Primary PRU does not have our own uniform as most children attending the PRU are dual placed with their mainstream school, or may be permanently excluded.

If a child is on Dual Placement they will continue to wear the uniform from their mainstream school as it is important they continue to feel a sense of belonging to that school and are supported to have a successful transition back.

If a child is in the PRU as a PEX (permanently excluded) placement they will wear dark trousers/skirt, shirt/polo shirt, sweater/jumper, socks and school shoes. No trainers are allowed to be worn for everyday wear and no hoodies are to be worn at all to school.

Smartness, cleanliness and high standards of appearance are expected at all times.

PE Kit

A PE Kit is required for Sports on a Tuesday. This consists of a polo shirt, short / jogging bottoms and trainers.
