Curriculum and Planning

As an inclusive, caring school we believe that every child should have the opportunity to explore and discover their unique strengths, to build their self-esteem and self-confidence.

We encourage every child to have high aspirations and strive for their best. We want children to be responsible and effective independent learners by the time that they leave Milton Keynes Primary PRU, ready to fully engage in their learning journey back in their mainstream school or next setting.

We have developed a creative curriculum that is personalised for the individual child’s needs, is exciting and stimulating, with opportunities for children to become inspired in their own learning and fully absorbed in using a cross-curricular approach.

We strive to reinforce and embed learning across all subject areas, making them relevant and meaningful for all children. Our aspiration is to promote deep and active learning and nurture a love of learning.

We use a variety of different approaches to explore and discover so that all children can develop all of their skills and strengths to become confident and successful learners. We want all children to be inquisitive and passionate about their own learning and nurture a desire for lifelong learning.
